HANOVER TWP. — Frances M. "Pat" Policare, 83, of the Korn Krest section of Hanover Township, went home to be with her Lord on Friday, Dec. 6, 2024.
Frances was born Nov. 23, 1941, a daughter of the late Nicholas and Madeline Dobash Carlo. A resident of Korn Krest since 1982, she lived in Wilkes-Barre in her early years and graduated from GAR Memorial High School. She worked in assembly and production for Integrated Power Designs, Hanover Township, before retiring.
She attended Nebo Baptist Church, Nanticoke, and loved being part of church activities. She enjoyed being with family and loved going to Knoebels and the Jersey Shore with her son, Robert.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Mary Kuchta; and brother, David Carlo.
She will be deeply missed by her son, Robert R. Policare; sister, Shirley Swartz and husband Loren, of Akron, Pa.; nephews and nieces, with whom she was very close: Michelle Kuchta, Nanticoke; Loren Swartz, West Pittston; David Swartz, Ephrata; Holly Gilliland and husband Jason, Lititz; and Timothy Swartz, Wilkes-Barre; as well as great-nieces and great-nephews.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday from Dinelli Family Funeral Home, 170 E. Broad St., Nanticoke, with the Rev. Jacob Claypoole, pastor of Nebo Baptist Church, officiating. Visitation hours will be from 10 a.m. until the time of the service on Tuesday at the funeral home. Interment will follow in Hanover Green Cemetery.
