Frances (Crapo) Powell
Frances (Crapo) Powell, age 90, returned home to her Father in Heaven on February 5, 2026, at Creekside Assisted Living in Bountiful, Utah. She was born on September 5, 1935, in Vernal, Utah, the daughter of Lloyd Henry Crapo and Linnie (Cook) Crapo.
She graduated from Provo High School and moved to Price, Utah, where she met and married Sherell Ray Powell in the Manti, Utah, Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Temple on June 23, 1954. They celebrated their 67th wedding anniversary in June of 2022.
Sewing, painting, and creating porcelain dolls were some of Frances’ favorite activities, but being with her children and grandchildren were her greatest joys.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Sherell Ray Powell, her son Sherell Keith Powell, and sisters Carolyn Allred (Golden Hugh); Linnie Elaine Carson (Gene).
Survivors include her brother Lloyd Bruce Crapo (Wendy). Her daughters Celia Alayne Powell and Francelle Roush (Robert). Her son David Ross Powell (Jill). Frances is also survived by nine grandchildren: Jessica Sims (Josh), Ryan Roush (Vanessa), Michaelyn Howard (Drew), Danielle Wood (Kevin), Aaron Powell, Lindsay Thompson (Matt), Joshua Powell (Charlotte), Kaden Powell (Cami), and Benjamin Powell. She is survived by 16 great grandchildren: Everest, Grant, Beckham, Lincoln, Stella, Elliott, Marshall, Lydia, Adeline, Andrew, Penelope, Luke, MacKenzie, Tucker, Lewis, and June.
Visitation will be Thursday, February 12, 2026, 6:00-7:15 PM at Lindquist’s Bountiful Mortuary, 727 North 400 East, Bountiful, Utah. A graveside service will be held Friday, February 13, 2026, at 2:00 PM at the Bountiful City Cemetery located at 2224 South 200 West, Bountiful. Utah.
