In Loving Memory of Frances Marie Pritchett
March 10, 1933 – July 26, 2025
Frances Marie Pritchett, a devoted follower of Christ, loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and cherished friend, went to be with the Lord on July 26, 2025, at her home in
Denison, TX, at the age of 92. Her life was a beautiful testament to grace, generosity, and unwavering love for others. Frances leaves behind a legacy of faith, family, and service that will live on for generations.
Born on March 10, 1933, in Scurry, TX to George Milbern and Lula Emma Preddy, Frances grew up learning the values of hard work, compassion, and deep faith. She carried those values throughout her life, touching countless lives with her kindness and wisdom. On December 25, 1952, she married the love of her life, Rophene Thomas Pritchett. Together, they built a home filled with laughter, love, and enduring devotion until Rophene's passing in 1987.
Frances was a dedicated employee of the City of Denison Water Department, where she worked for over 20 years. Her warm smile and genuine care for people made her a beloved friend to many. Outside of work, she faithfully served as a longtime member of Calvary Baptist Church in
Denison, TX. Her love for the Lord was evident in every aspect of her life-through her words, her actions, and the love she poured into everyone she met.
Frances was the heart of her family, always putting others before herself and making each person feel uniquely loved. She is survived by her children: daughter Valerie Badgett and husband Terry of
Denison, TX; son William "Bill" Pritchett and wife Lilly of Howe, TX; and son Neil Pritchett and wife Billie Mae of Savoy, TX. She was a proud and loving grandmother to William "Willie" T. Pritchett, Shellie McLemore, Cash McDonald-Pritchett, and the late Amanda Pritchett. Her joy multiplied with her great-grandchildren: Major McLemore, Jhett McLemore, Maverick McLemore, Amanda McDonald-Slusser, Dace McDonald and Gibson McDonald.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband Rophene Thomas Pritchett; her father George Preddy; mother Lula Preddy; sister Betty Jean Preddy; brother Clifford Ray Preddy and granddaughter Amanda Joyce Pritchett.
Though our hearts are heavy with grief, we find comfort in knowing Frances is now resting in the arms of her Savior, reunited with those she loved so dearly. Her love, faith, and strength will remain etched in the hearts of all who knew her.
She taught us to love freely, give generously, and trust God in all things-and in that, her legacy lives on.
"Well done, good and faithful servant… enter into the joy of your Lord." – Matthew 25:23
