Funeral Service for Frances Dean Stewart, age 93, of Mount Pleasant, Texas will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Friday, August 29, 2025, at Curry-Welborn Funeral Home. Visitation will be held an hour prior to the service from 1:00-2:00 P.M. Lynn Prater, Jared Prater, Mike Craft, Matthew Craft, John Hall, and Andrew Ireton will be serving as pallbearers. Honorary Pallbearers will be Trysten Craft, Bobbie VanAntwerp, Jay Nipp, Steven Harris, and Ian Hall. Interment will follow at Gladewater Cemetery in Mount Pleasant, Texas. Mrs. Stewart passed away at her home surrounded by her loved ones on August 26, 2025.
Frances Dean Stewart was born in Marietta, Oklahoma to Robert J. Tooley and Lessie (Brewer) Tooley.
Frances married the love of her life, James M. Stewart, on December 23, 1950, in Texas.
Frances is survived by her daughters; Cathy Brooks of Omaha, TX, Becky Prater and husband, Johnny of Mt. Pleasant, TX, and Patricia Hardy and husband, Jim of Van, TX, her siblings; Sharon Logsdon and husband, Harvey, Janet Cope, Mike Hanlon and wife, Renna, her grandchildren: Cristal Evans, Jennifer Jackson, Lynn Prater and wife, Cheryl, Debra VanAntwerp and husband, Robbie, Jared Prater and wife, Emily, Mike Craft and wife, Amie, Michelle Hall and husband, John, Meagan Ireton and husband, Andrew, Marilyn Harris and husband, Hale, Matthew Craft, and Matthew Polk-Hardy, her great- grandchildren; Ragan Evans, Zhoe Evans, Jordan Prater, Charity Prater, Bobbie VanAntwerp, Aubrey Prater, Collin Cordell, Morgan Craft, Nicky Craft, Madison Craft, Chelsea Hall, Ian Hall, MaKenzie Craft, Joslyn Craft, Trysten Craft, Autumn Wheeler, Monica Harris, Kaylie Harris, and Steven Harris, her great-great grandchildren: Jay Nipp and Lyra Craft. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Lessie Tooley, her stepmother, Hazel Tooley, her infant daughter and son, and her beloved husband, James Stewart.
