Frances Oleta Stone-Campbell, (Mom, Ma, Ms-Stone, Fran, Chanteau) passed from this life in Hearne, Texas on Monday, June 26, 2023, at the age of 92. She was born in Nacogdoches, Texas on September 14, 1930.
Frances is proceeded in death by her husband, Lewis Clifford Stone, Sr. and Glynn Campbell, and her sons, Lewis Clifford Stone, Jr. and Danny Ray Stone.
She is survived by her children, Carolyn Presley, Casey Stone, Tony Stone, and Elizabeth Sabrsula; 12 grandchildren; 32 great grandchildren; 7 great great grandchildren; and many other family members and countless friends.
She was born in Nacogdoches, Texas to parents, Ellis and Lottie Cook. She was one of twelve children and their last surviving child. She was a dedicated wife, mother, sister, and friend, and had a heart as big as Texas. Her lifelong mission was helping people. She was a strong soul and always a straight shooter. You never had to wonder where she stood or what she believed in. Frances was genuine and loved unconditionally. She enjoyed going to the local community center and socializing with friends and had a passion for country dancing and a love for Conway Twitty.
Frances was a member of Bethel Baptist Church in Houston, Texas, and a devout Christian with a strong faith in God. She was the backbone of our family and will be missed dearly, but we find joy in knowing she is now fellowshipping with all her loved ones who'd gone on before and awaiting that blessed reunion with all of us in Heaven, one sweet day! The precious memories are now the gifts she has left behind to comfort us until we meet again!
