Age 74, of Whitehall, formally of Dormont, passed away peacefully after a courageous battle with cancer on May 7th, 2024. She was the daughter of the late Harry and Catherine Hyde and sister to Elsa (the late Mark) Cox. She leaves behind many loving cousins and dear friends.
Fran started her career at Consolidation Coal Company (now CONSOL Energy) in the Accounting Department where she was promoted many times. She was one of the first women in the company to reach the management level, finishing her career as the head of the Audit Division, a testament to both her attention to details as well as the big picture.
She was a fan and a supporter of many arts, including music, photography, dance, and live performance. Tennis was her game, and she enjoyed museums and travel.
A kind individual, she was especially fond of cats and was hoping to see her Darth and Leia coming to meet her on the Rainbow Bridge. Arrangements by BEINHAUERS. Add or view tributes at www.beinhauer.com.

This message is for Elsa Cox, Fran´s sister. I was thinking of Francine for the last few days, since the tropical storm Francine has been mentioned numerous times on the news. I was wondering if, by any chance, she may have passed away and I wasn´t notified. Sure enough, I found her obituary and the same photo I have from a photo album I put together for my father and one for Aunt Mary Hyde for their joint birthday party at Station Square years ago. In that photo, Fran looks very much like Linda Hyde. They were both beautiful. Elsa, I send you my condolences. I´m not surprised you didn´t call me. Fran was no fan of mine or my father, your uncle. I hope you have found peace with your loss.
