Francis "Frank" John Bielicki, of Keedysville, MD passed away Tuesday, October 3, 2023 at Meritus Medical Center in Hagerstown, MD.
Born January 29, 1944 in Philadelphia, PA, he was the son of the late Raymond Frank Bielicki and Stephanie Krystanowicz Bielicki.
He was a member of St. Agnes Catholic Church in Shepherdstown, WV.
Frank was a graduate of Bishop Neumann High School in Philadelphia, PA and attended undergraduate courses at Memphis State University.
He served in the US Marine Corps as an Aviation Electronics Technician from 1961- 1965. He achieved the rank of Corporal and earned the Good Conduct Medal and the Rifle Sharpshooter Badge.
Frank worked for Holiday Inns Inc. in Memphis where he was instrumental in the launch of the Holidex system, which was the first computerized hotel reservation system in the United States. He then went on to work for Maryland National Bank in finance in Baltimore and then for Citicorp where he retired in 2003 as Vice President of Global Communications.
After retirement, he served as project manager for the construction of the new St. Agnes Catholic Church building in Shepherdstown which was completed in 2008. He also assisted with managing the construction of the St. Agnes Columbarium Garden.
Frank enjoyed beekeeping, woodworking and spending time with his friends.
Frank is survived by his wife of 60 years, Rosalie Barthol Bielicki, two daughters, Stephanie Chamier and husband, Russell and Kathleen Bielicki. one brother, Raymond J. Bielicki and wife, Verna Mynes and numerous brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by an infant brother, Stephen.
Services will be private. There will be a Memorial Mass celebrating Frank's life at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, the family request memorial donations to be made to St. Agnes Building Fund.
