Francis "Frank" Raymond Swarts, 89, of Port Huron, died Saturday, March 16, 2025. He was born December 5, 1935 in Columbus, Ohio to the late George and Udell (Cloran) Swarts. He married Buelah "BJ" June Marshall on October 26, 1957 in Port Huron. Together, they built a life for 68 years filled with joy, laughter, adventures and unwavering support for one another. He was a devoted father to his four boys and cherished every moment with his grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Frank was an Air Force veteran before working for Lear Siegel and then for United States Army Tank-Automotive Materiel Readiness Command taking him to many international destinations and adventures. He served on the Burtchville Township Board of Review. He was a member of the Elks Lodge #343.
He is survived by his wife; sons, Steven (Leanne) Swarts, David (Sharon) Swarts, Kenneth (Michelle) Swarts, James (Grace) Swarts; grandchildren, Michael, Ian, Lillian (Adel) Hussain, Regina, Isabelle, Aaron, Eric, Jessica, Amelia, Cody, Adam, and Lauren; 4 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers George and Joseph (Rose) Swarts.
Visitation will be held from 4-7 p.m. with a memorial service at 7 p.m. on Saturday, March 29, 2025 at Grace Memorial-Smith Chapel, 1525 Hancock Street, Port Huron, MI 48060. A private burial will take place in Mt. Hope Cemetery at a later date.
