Francisca Yolanda "Frances" Dillard, age 87, passed away on August 25, 2025, in San Antonio, Texas. Born on December 5, 1937, in Piedras Negras, Coahuila, Mexico, Frances lived a full and vibrant life rooted in faith, family, and joy. Frances was the beloved daughter of Evangelina Vaquera and Casimiro De la Cerda. She was one of nine siblings and shared deep bonds with each of them. She is lovingly remembered by her sisters Leticia Greenstreet, Guadalupe Alvarado, Norma Gonzales, and Alma De la Cerda Doria. She now joins in eternal rest her sisters Olga Cardenas, Eva Flores, Irma Acosta De la Cerda, and her brother Javier De la Cerda. A devoted mother, Frances leaves behind her cherished children: son Allen Dillard and daughter Mary McBride. Her love for them was unwavering and evident in every aspect of her life. Frances found joy in the simple pleasures that brought people together. She loved singing karaoke and dancing-her spirit lighting up any room she entered. Whether playing loteria or bingo with friends or indulging in shopping trips and watching her favorite novelas, she embraced life with enthusiasm and warmth. Her Catholic faith was a cornerstone of her identity. Frances had a deep devotion to Jesus Christ and the Virgin Mary and found comfort in reading the Bible regularly. Her spiritual strength guided her through life's joys and challenges alike. Those who knew Frances remember her as sweet and kind - a woman whose love touched everyone around her. She was deeply loved by many and gave that love back freely as a caring sister, devoted daughter, and nurturing mother. May her memory bring comfort to those who knew her and continue to inspire love and kindness in all who carry her legacy forward.
