Francisco I. Gonzalez 81 of East Stroudsburg, Pa. passed away on Tuesday March 29, 2022 at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was the husband of Gladys M. (Forrest) Gonzalez. Born in Lares, Puerto Rico he was the son of Francisco and Maria (Gonzalez) Gonzalez.
Frank was a resident of the East Stroudsburg area for the past 50 years. He worked as a Machine Tender for the Rock Tenn paper mill in Delaware Water Gap, Pa. for 37 years. He was of the catholic faith. He was a member of the Barger Lodge #325 Tannersville, Pa. and became a Master Mason on Nov. 4, 2003.
Frank was an avid golfer and fisherman and he was also a master wood worker. He will be missed greatly by his loving family.
In addition to his wife Gladys he is survived by his children: Johnny Gonzalez of Miami, Fl., Margaret Setzer of Bangor, Richard Gonzalez and his wife Bonne of Kalamazoo, Michigan and Gladys Werner and her husband Tim of E. Stroudsburg, Pa., grandchildren: Jacquelyn, Tiffany, Richie, Zachary, Tyler, Kayla, Vincent, Hailey, Sydney, and Dylan; and 8 great grandchildren and 3 on the way. Frank was preceded in death by 2 daughters: Darleen Hallett and Daisy Gonzalez, a son Francisco Gonzalez and grandson Brandon Hallett.
There will be a viewing on Friday April 1, 2022 from 2-4:00pm at the Joseph J. Pula Funeral Home Inc. 232 N. 9th St. Stroudsburg, Pa. 18360 followed by a masonic service starting at 4:00pm at the funeral home.
