Jerry was my supervisor when I was working at Stroudsburg. Now, I am doing volunteer work for RSVP (Retired Senior Volunteer Program) and part of my job is to check the Obits when I came across this one. What a wonderful man and fond memories of my time at SASD. I'm sorry for your loss!

Dear Margaret, Michael, and Stephen -
I don´t know where to start. I spent so much time with Jerry when I was working in the Stroudsburg Area School District. I couldn´t have asked for a more dedicated and fun guy to work with. He really grew into an outstanding special education administrator and would always stick up for students with disabilities and for their teachers. He had a knack for taking the edge off tense situations - and what a sense of humor. One time in an administrative meeting, he mentioned something and the then Superintendent, Rick Hackett, said, "What?" Without skipping a beat, Jerry replied to Rick, "Turn up your Beltones." Jerry, Rick, and I went to the Allentown Fair to see Larry the Cable Guy one summer - what a great time.
After I retired, about twice a year, I´d venture up from Bethlehem to Stroudsburg and have lunch with Jerry, Rick, Jason Fitt and Mike Romano. What great times! What a great guy! I miss him. I hope that the memories you have of him will sustain you and give you peace and comfort in this most difficult season of life.
