Francisco Antonio Huezo 6/13/55-2/11/24, was born in his beloved country, El Salvador, before migrating to New Orleans, LA in January 1969. He worked for Jefferson Parish for 16 years before retiring in August 2023. He loved traveling with his wife, Lisa, and explored many corners of the world including Vietnam, Singapore, France, and Germany. No matter where he was, or what language was spoken, he made a friend or 10. He was best known for his huge and giving heart and his biggest joy was watching his grandchildren grow. He was an amazing husband, father, grandfather, brother, and son and will be incredibly missed by all of those he left behind.
He was husband to Lisa Tran. Son of Angela Aquino Huezo (deceased) and Ricardo Huezo (deceased). Father of Liana Maria Huezo Johnson. Grandfather to Jesenia Aliyah Johnson Huezo and Derrick Dwayne Johnson Huezo. Father-in-law to Fred Dwayne Johnson. Brother to Connie H. Loup, Vilma H. Ruiz, Marina H. Romero, Ricardo Huezo Jr., Roberto Huezo. Uncle to Charles E. Culpepper, Nancy C. Ruiz, Tirsa V. Warner, Karla A. Ruiz, José R. Huezo Jr, Leonel E. Romero, Karen L. Summe, Juan Jose Romero, David A. Huezo, Cinthia V. Lemus, Gerson A. Ruiz, and Ricardo D. Huezo.
He also leaves behind his wife's children and grandchildren who affectionately referred to him as Grandpa Frank or Uncle Frank: Vuong and Phi Tran and kids, Ann and John Hoang and kids, Lee and Huong Tran and kids, Sandy and Andy Nguyen and kids, and Kelly and John Cao and kids.
Visitation will be held at Mothe Funeral Home, 2100 Westbank Expressway, Harvey, LA on Friday, February 23, 2024 from 4pm to 9pm and resuming on Saturday, February 24, 2024 from 8am to 11am. A Funeral Mass will follow. Interment Westlawn Memorial Park, Gretna, LA.
