Frank A. Bergman Jr., age 91 of Batesville, Indiana passed away on Friday, June 13, 2025 at St. Andrews Health Campus. The son of Frank H. Bergman Sr. and Lillian (Holle) Bergman was born at the family farm on December 12, 1933. Frank graduated from Batesville High School, where he played football for the Bulldogs. The US Army Veteran was a lifelong farmer and a school bus driver. In his youth, he enjoyed boxing, football, and basketball. He liked attending dog shows and Farm Progress shows with his brother Earl and friends. He also enjoyed watching shows on RFD and Purdue basketball games. His passions though were farming and coon hunting. Frank cherished his travels to Illinois, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee, and Texas, where he visited family and toured the states. He is survived by 11 nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his siblings, Elma L. Wessel, Evelyn Behlmer, Earl Bergman, Alvin Bergman, and Robert Bergman and his God Child Holli Moorman. Visitation will be Thursday, June 19, 2025, from 10:00 am -11:00 am followed by 11:00 am funeral services all at St. John United Church of Christ (Huntersville) in Batesville. Pastor Joseph Feldmann officiating. Burial will follow in the St. John UCC Cemetery, with military honors conducted by the Batesville VFW Post #3183 and Prell-Bland American Legion Post #271. Memorial contributions can be made to St. John UCC by bringing to services or mailing to Meyers Funeral Home, PO Box 202, Batesville, IN 47006.
