William E. Linville, of Batesville, passed away on Thursday, May 1, 2025 at Margaret Mary Health in Batesville, Indiana. Born on September 22, 1958 in Batesville, he was the son of William Linville and Quita (nee: Griffin) Linville. He was 66 years old. Bill graduated from Batesville High School in 1976. He married Cynthia Dickey on July 19, 1986 at the Batesville United Methodist Church. He worked with Wendy's Restaurants for 10 years as a manager before serving 25 years managing for McDonalds Restaurants, until his retirement. Bill loved to hike at state parks across Indiana, taking family vacations to the Smoky Mountains and the beach. He was an avid pilot for over 30 years and earned his private pilot's license during that time. He loved music and played the organ at St. Louis Catholic Church in his younger years. He enjoyed being outdoors fishing, hunting and playing and watching sports including the Reds and Bengals. He also loved watching the weather and studying the stars. But most of all Bill loved his family. He will be dearly missed by his wife, Cindy; sons, Eric (Bridget) Linville of Oldenburg and Casey (Jamie) Rhoads of Batesville; sisters, Donna Speckman and Brenda Henretty both of Batesville; brothers, Bob Linville of Batesville and Ken Linville of Greensburg; grandchildren, Katelyn Schmidt, Ciera Rhoads, Aurora Linville and Finley Linville; great-grandchildren Oaklyn Schmidt, Nash Schmidt and Jameson Rhoads. All services are private at the request of the family. Memorial contributions can be made to the Ronald McDonald House of Cincinnati by mailing to Meyers Funeral Home, PO Box 202, Batesville, IN 47006. Please feel free to leave a memory or message of comfort for Bill's family in the online guestbook.
