Frank Costanzo, of Philadelphia, passed away on September 11th, 2024 at the age of 54 after a long courageous battle with heart disease. Frank was the devoted husband of Dana Lynn (nee Cirino). They were married for 21 years and together for 28. Frank is loving father of Julianna, and Michael; beloved son of Frank and Wanda Costanzo; and cherished cousin of Anthony Mansi (Linda).
Frank was born and raised in Philadelphia. He was a graduate of North Catholic High School; class of 1989. He attended Penn State where he played football, and was on the swim team. He then went on to work for Oakland Cemetery. After Oakland, Frank joined the Philadelphia Police Department in 1999. He proudly protected our city serving in the 24th District and Major Crimes until and injury ended his career in 2010. During his career his received many accommodations including Heroism award in 2006. Frank fought through many hardships in his life. He had two bouts of Cancer, and heart disease. Frank strength and determination was an inspiration to many of his friends and family. Frank will truly be missed by those who knew and loved him.
Family and friends are invited to Frank's Life Celebration on Monday, September 23rd, 2023 from 6 – 8 PM and on Tuesday, September 24th, 2024 from 9 -11 AM at the John F. Givnish Funeral Home, 10975 Academy Rd., Philadelphia, PA 19154. A funeral service will follow at 11 AM. Interment services will be held at Oakland Cemetery.
