Frankie Del Vecchio passed away surrounded by family December 19, 2025. This profound loss touches his family, his community, and the work he devoted his life to.
Frankie was larger than life-tall, loud, endlessly animated. He was a master storyteller, quick with humor, and never afraid to be fully himself. But what will endure far beyond his booming presence was his rare ability to make people feel seen and loved.
His life was marked by challenge as well as resilience. Through perseverance, faith, and devotion to his family, Frankie rebuilt himself and poured that transformation into his legacy: Spirit Contracting.
You can hear him say it-raspy, alive, unmistakably Frankie: "Spirit Contracting-Let us bring your vision to life."
He saw possibilities where others saw problems. Whether he was transforming a space you didn't love into one you did, or turning life's mistakes and setbacks into something better, it always started with vision.
Over the years, each of his children spent time working alongside him at Spirit, learning not just carpentry, but responsibility, grit, and the importance of the details. And it wasn't only his kids Frankie taught. He was a teacher to us all-whether it was how to fold a blueprint, wrap an extension cord the right way, or make sure everything was flush, straight, plumb-never crooked.
He believed details mattered, because people mattered.
Frankie enjoyed the water, his boat, and fishing-catching fish only to release them gently from his hand so he could feel them swim away. He had that same tenderness for all living things, even the bees that drank from his Koi pond, which he somehow managed to pet.
But more than anything, he loved his kids. Though he could drive them crazy, he was their rock-their protector, biggest supporter, and loudest believer. The memories he created with them, on the job, on the water, and in everyday moments-will be carried forever.
Frankie taught us how to love fiercely. He showed what it meant to look past our own struggles to lift someone else up and stand beside another person without hesitation. His faith lived not just in words, but in action, generosity, and the way he built both homes and people with care.
Look him up in the way you work, the way you live, and the way you love. You'll be glad you did.
Frankie is survived by his four children; Anthony Liso, Madelyn Liso, Chloe Del Vecchio and Chase Del Vecchio; and his beloved grandson Luca Del Vecchio-Liso. His sister Terri Brennan, her husband Richie Brennan, and their son, his nephew, Luke Brennan.
Services will be held at Moloney's Funeral Home in Holbrook on Tuesday the 30th, 2-4pm & 7-9pm.
A priest will speak at 8pm.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to GoFundMe "Honoring Frankie by Helping His Children" memorial fund.
