Frank John DiPersio, 91, of Hamilton, entered into his eternal rest with the Lord on Wednesday, December 18, 2024 at his daughter's home in Columbus, NJ. Frank was born in Manhattan, NY on October 26, 1933 to parents, Demetrio "Jimmy" and Anna (Curci) DiPersio. Frank was a U.S. Army veteran who served his country honorably during the Korean War. He was always a hard worker, and throughout his long career held many positions. He was a certified welder, he worked on many roads in NY with Madigan Hylan Consulting Engineers prior to his 26 year career as a Project Engineer for the NJ Turnpike Authority. Frank also worked after his retirement for Brenna-Cellini Funeral Homes, where he was a much loved employee and fellow co-worker.
Frank met his late wife Phyllis because of his love of dancing, according to him they met at a church dance at St. Vincent Ferrer Church in NY, NY and were married in December of 1956 and were married for nearly 66 years upon her passing in March of 2022.
Frank was always a very hands on person with maintaining his property. He enjoyed coin collecting, and chopping wood for his wood fireplace. He was a member of the Trenton Numismatic Club for many years.
Frank was a parishioner of St. Gregory the Great Church for many years. He was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend to many. He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Frank is the son of the late Demetrio and Anna (Curci) DiPersio; husband of the late Phyllis I. (Gernovich) DiPersio; brother of the late Umberto "Albert" DiPersio and Gloria Abraham.
Frank is survived by his four children, Douglas DiPersio and wife Lorraine, James DiPersio and wife Bonnie, Donna Lanczak, and Steven DiPersio and wife Joanna; grandchildren, George DiPersio and wife Leah and John DiPersio and wife Christie, Jennifer and husband Rocky Johnson, Jessica and husband Luis Sanchez, Michael DiPersio, and Dante DiPersio; seven great-grandchildren, Emery DiPersio, Rocky Johnson, Eli DiPersio, Tyler and Kelsey Johnson, Miles Sanchez, and Wells DiPersio; a brother Richard DiPersio and wife Kathleen; two sisters-in-law, Dorothy Pizzino, and Margaret and husband Angelo DeFilippo; as well as many nieces, nephews, and other family and friends.
Private funeral services are under the direction of the Hamilton Brenna-Cellini Funeral Home, 2365 Whitehorse-Mercerville Rd., Hamilton, NJ 08619.
