WATERBURY - It is with great sadness and broken hearts that the family of Franklyn “Frank” Jacovino, age 90, of Waterbury, announces his peaceful passing at home on Thursday, May 9th 2024, surrounded by love and comfort of his family. He was the devoted husband of Betty (Bouteiller) Jacovino.
Frank was born May 16th, 1933, in Waterbury, CT, the son of the late Frank and Philomena (Sabbia) Jacovino. Frank attended local schools and spent many years working as an HVAC Technician with Lehigh Fuel Co. Frank enjoyed golfing, Nascar Racing and was an avid New York Yankees fan. He also enjoyed collecting scrap metal, spending time in his yard, working on cars and plumbing. He was known as a “jack of all trades” and one of the best handymen around and was exceptional in almost every way but he excelled the most at being a devoted husband, father and grandfather.
Left to honor his memory and cherish his legacy, besides his wife Betty of 68 years, are his children, Frank Jacovino Jr and his partner Desiree Carey of Thomaston, Robert Jacovino and his wife, Linda of Wolcott, and Delores Oulundsen and husband, Eric of Waterbury. He also leaves his grandchildren; Paul and Francesca Jacovino and Eric and Christopher Oulundsen, as well as many nieces, nephews, and other extended family members. He was predeceased by his brothers; William and Alex Jacovino.
Funeral Services for Mr. Jacovino will be held privately at the convenience of his family. Casey’s Eastside Memorial Funeral Home and Cremation Care, 1987 East Main St Waterbury, CT 06705, has been honored to care for Frank and the Jacovino family. Loving kindness is always welcome, and it only takes a moment to offer a message of condolence or words of comfort or share a memory of someone important to you with their family and friends.
