SOUTHINGTON - It is with profound sadness that the family of Joanne (Ford) Jacovino, age 82 of Southbury, share the news of her peaceful passing at The Hospital of Central Connecticut on Friday, October 11, 2024 surrounded by the love and comfort of her family. She was the beloved widow of Richard Jacovino.
Joanne was born on February 16, 1942 in Waterbury, CT, the daughter of the late Walter and Anna (Shea) Ford. She was a graduate of Sacred Heart High School in Waterbury. Throughout her life, Joanne found joy in the simple things, from camping trips to reading a good book. Her summers in Scituate, Massachusetts, brought her great happiness as she spent time making memories with her family. Joanne could often be found watching her favorite shows like Jeopardy and Wheel of Fortune, and always had cup of her favorite coffee in hand. However, the true light of Joanne's life was her grandchildren, whom she adored and cherished more than anything. Joanne will be deeply missed by all those who were blessed to love and know her.
Left to honor her legacy and cherish her memory are her three children, Jennifer (Jermaine) Baptiste, Ken (Evelyn) Jacovino, and Kevin (Jennifer) Jacovino. Her beloved grandchildren; Vivienne Jacovino, Jaiden Baptiste, Jillian Jacovino, Kyla Jacovino, and Kiera Jacovino will miss her love and devotion. Joanne also leaves her sister-in-law, Joan Satler, and nephew Dan Satler, along with other extended family and friends.
Funeral services for Mrs. Jacovino will be held privately at the convenience of her family. Joanne will be interred in her family plot in Calvary Cemetery.
