Frank Letzkus Obituary

Born on August 25, 1936, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Frank was the son of Frank H. Letzkus, Jr. and Mildred Letzkus. A proud Aggie, Frank's love for Texas A&M ran deep - especially for Aggie football. He cherished attending games with family and remained close to the lifelong friends he made while in the Corps. Together, they shared many adventures, often with their wives along to keep things "mostly" on the straight and narrow. It was a joyful, loyal, and fun-loving group.
Frank served his country honorably in the U.S. Army and retired as a Lt. Colonel. After his service, he found his dream job as a small farm specialist with the University of Missouri Extension Service in Potosi, Missouri, where he worked for 20 years. In 2000, he retired with his beloved wife Carolyn and moved to Granbury to be closer to her family. Retirement was filled with travel, tinkering, and simple pleasures that brought him great joy.
Frank is survived by Carolyn, his devoted wife of nearly 63 years (anniversary on September 29); daughters Rebecca (Paul) and Jennie (Brian); grandchildren Emily (Austin), Rachel (Isaac), Samantha, and Nathan; brother Richard of Rio Rancho, New Mexico; sister-in-law Valene, whom he adored; niece Heather, and cousin Ginny.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to the Salvation Army of Granbury.
