Frank G. Mastrangelo, 88, of New Castle passed away the afternoon of May 26, 2024 at Quality Life Services of New Castle.
Born in New Castle on July 2, 1935, Frank was the son of the late Nicholas and Concetta Tuscano Mastrangelo.
Frank is survived by his beloved wife, the former Joanne Cubellis who he married on June 22, 1957.
In the early years Frank had worked as the Co-Owner of M&D Auto Sales and Service. Frank then became the owner and operator of Frank Mastrangelo Auto Body where he worked for many years and retired in his eighties.
Frank had proudly served his country as a member of the United States Army. He was a member of Holy Spirit Parish, St. Vitus Church.
Frank enjoyed being outdoors and working in his yard. His hobbies were family, work and cars. A loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather, Frank's greatest joy was spending time with his family.
In addition to his wife, Frank is survived by his three children, Frank Mastrangelo (Linda), David Mastrangelo (Marcia) and Roger Mastrangelo (Debbie), his brother, Father Nicholas Mastrangelo, five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, Frank was preceded in death by his brother, Father Mario Mastrangelo.
Visitation will be on Thursday 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Ed & Don DeCarbo Funeral Home & Crematory, 941 S. Mill St.
A procession will leave the funeral home on Friday at 10:00 a.m. for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. at St. Vitus Church. His brother, Father Nicholas Mastrangelo will officiate.
Burial will be in St. Vitus Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers Memorial Contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105 or Pennsylvania Alzheimer's Association,2595 Interstate Dr., Suite 100, Harrisburg, PA 17110.
