Frank Mazzeo of West Palm Beach, FL, formerly of Shrewsbury, MA passed away peacefully in his sleep on March 25,2025 after a prolonged illness.

Frank was born in Millbury, MA to Frank & Ida (Paletta) Mazzeo on February 9, 1935, the day after his mother’s birthday.

Frank lived a big life! He graduated from Millbury HS in 1953. While there, he played baseball and football. When his aspirations of playing baseball professionally were dashed by a shoulder injury while playing football, he decided to become a dentist.

He attended St.Michaels College in VT. From there he was accepted into Tufts Dental and earned his degree in 1959. Under his photo in the yearbook was the phrase he lived his life by - “If I rest, I rust!”

Upon graduating, he married the love of his life, Joan Prevost Mazzeo, on August 8, 1959. They had met during his final year at Tufts. He entered the Army as a Captain and dentist and served for 2 years before settling his young family in Shrewsbury, MA where he established a thriving dental practice.

Frank always approached life with a great attitude. He was known as the “singing dentist” as he was always whistling or singing a song when he greeted each patient that sat in his chair. People have always said "Frank never met a stranger in his life".

Never one to “settle for” in life, he tried his hand in a few ventures, eventually coming across the Amway opportunity in 1979. With big dreams for his family's future, he & Joan developed an extremely successful worldwide network of business entrepreneurs. They reached the coveted level of Diamond in that business in 1991. Their travels took them around the world; he enjoyed playing golf everywhere from Australia to Hawaii to the Caribbean and beyond.

Because of their business success, Frank was able to fulfill a lifelong dream when he bought a home on the 16th fairway of Bear Lakes Golf Course in West Palm Beach, FL and was able to play as often as he wanted, year-round for 30+ years!

He consistently poured into the lives of so many. His children, grandchildren and even great grandchildren have memories of Papa teaching them to go after their dreams and “Grab life by the throat and extract what you want from it!”

Many have been positively impacted by his life. One person recently shared "Frank is a hero to me and to thousands of people around the world. He always made me feel special and that I mattered to him; what a gift!"

Frank is survived by his wife of 65 years, Joan (Prevost) Mazzeo, his daughter Jeanne Morrone and her husband Bill, his son Frank A Mazzeo III and his wife Heidi, his daughter Maria Filiere and her husband Stephen, his daughter Andrea Docimo and her husband Frank, ten grandchildren and ten great grandchildren. He also leaves behind his sister Barbara Buduo and her husband Daniel and many nieces and nephews.

He is predeceased by his parents, Frank Anthony Mazzeo Sr & Ida (Paletta) Mazzeo, sister Angela Bailey, formerly of Sutton, MA and her husband Harry Bailey.

The Mazzeo family would like to extend a very heartfelt thank you to the terrific staff at Resnick Assisted Living at Morselife for their wonderful care & attention for Frank over the past year.
