Frank William McManus, age 80, of Gautier, Mississippi, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, October 21, 2025. He was surrounded by the love of his life, DeAnna McManus, and his devoted companion, Easy.
Frank was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend. After a dedicated 40-year career as a Master Ship Builder at Ingalls Shipbuilding, he enjoyed his retirement playing golf, spending time with family, and building anything his wife could dream up—his craftsmanship was unmatched. Known for his sharp wit and infectious sense of humor, Frank loved to dance, tell a good story, and gather with friends and loved ones. To those closest to him, he was affectionately known as “Franko.” He never passed up a chance to enjoy a White Russian or share a laugh.
Frank was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Olivia Locke; his son, Rick Joseph McManus; brothers, George and Dennis Locke; sister, Linda Lea Locke; and sister-in-law, Christy Smith.
He is survived by his wife of 27 years, DeAnna McManus; his children, Jake Jones(Connie), Christopher William McManus, and Lisa Ann McManus (John Faircloth); his in-laws, Pat and Danny Smith; siblings, Elizabeth Mobley (Mike), Donna Locke, Robin Wold (Greg), Tina Munn (Lynn), and Bobbie Jo Fore; brothers-in-law, Casey Smith (Dagney) and Darren Smith; along with three grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, and many extended family and friends who will miss him dearly.
Frank’s memory will live on in the stories he told, the laughter he inspired, and the love he gave so freely.
A memorial service will be held at 12:00pm on Saturday, October 25, 2025 at Bradford-O’Keefe Funeral Home, Ocean Springs, MS. Friends may visit one hour prior.
Bradford-O’Keefe Funeral Homes is honored to serve the family of Frank William McManus.
