Frank Mitchell, 78, of Morganville, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, June 18, 2025, at Raritan Bay Medical Center, surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Brooklyn, New York and moved to New Jersey 31 years ago, where he built a life rooted in hard work, devotion, and love for his family. Frank spent his career as a dedicated longshoreman; a role he took great pride in until his retirement. He was known for his strong work ethic, loyal spirit, and unwavering commitment to those he loved.
Frank was predeceased by his parents, Richard and Ann Mitchell; his beloved son, Richard Mitchell; his son-in-law, Anthony Pisani; and his brothers, John and Richard Mitchell. He is survived by his devoted wife of 60 years, Kathleen; his children, Frank Mitchell and Laura Pisani; his grandchildren, Richard, John, Elle, and Eve, who were the light of his life; his siblings, Roy (and his wife Janice), Stephen, Patricia, and Dorothy Mitchell; along with many nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends who will miss him dearly.
Family and friends are invited to attend his visitation on Sunday, June 22, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Freeman Manalapan Marlboro Funeral Home, 344 Route 9 North, Manalapan. A Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated on Monday at 11:00 AM at St. Gabriel's Historic Church, followed by entombment at St. Gabriel's Cemetery and Mausoleum.
