It is with profound sadness that we announce the death of Frank Rezzuti of Millis, Ma on November 25, 2023 of pancreatic cancer, a diagnosis received late October of 2020.
Born in Boston in 1949 to Charles Sr. and Mary (Kerwin) Rezzuti, Frank grew up in the Thompsonville section of Newton, along with his brothers Charlie and Tommy in a neighborhood of all male cousins and friends. A great athlete, he captained both the football and hockey teams at Newton South High school and played on the baseball squad.
Frank attended Boston University, earning a teaching degree in physical education and played both football and hockey for the Terriers.
While waiting for teaching positions to open up in the early 70s, he began working in the emerging energy conservation field, eventually starting his own insulation business for 25 years and then working as an Energy Auditor at Action for Boston Community Development in Boston for 10 years before retiring. Frank was recognized by his ubiquitous ponytail. He was determined to keep to the end of his life until chemo took that away from him also.
He is the father of Bryan Rezzuti of Millis and Matthew Rezzuti and his wife, Erika of Tamworth, NH. The loss of their father is deep and will be felt forever but his imprint on them is obvious and wonderful. When he married the love of his life, Terry (Theresa Dennett), he became a big brother to her many siblings and to this day, is deeply beloved by all of them and their spouses and many nieces and nephews. They are Yvonne Thompson (Wilmington), Michael and Mary Dennett (Cumberland, RI) Mary and Bob Pratt (Mashpee) Tina and Bill Cook (Millville) Jimmy Dennett (deceased) Anita and Tom Connors (Bellingham) John Dennett (Millis) Dan and Laura Dennett (Citrus Heights, CA) Bill Dennett (Franklin) Renie and Russ Gallant (Milford) Doug Dennett (deceased) David and Tina Dennett (Bellingham) and Alec (deceased).
The role of daughters that he did not have, was filled by his very loving nieces: Lisa Rezzuti Yered and her husband, Dave and their son, Colton of Franklin; Cara Rezzuti Eaton, her husband Matt and children, Bryce, Shea and Callia of Mashpee; and Erin Rezzuti Benham, her husband Lance and children, Holly and Norah of Millis. He was a special uncle and loved very much by them all. Frank had many friends from various areas of his life. He found great joy and laughter on the many phone calls and visits with relatives and friends frequently throughout his illness. There are so many who loved Frank that it is impossible to name all. But if you knew him, you loved him. He was smart, funny, tough and sweet.
He sadly leaves his brother Charles and his wife, Diane of Myrtle Beach, SC and his brother Thomas and his wife, Sharon of Conway, SC and their children, Rae Ann Grimes and TJ Rezzuti of South Carolina But the true devastation of losing Frank at this young age is that he will not be around to watch his loving grandsons, Dean and Troy Rezzuti grow up. He was not Grampy, or Papa but 'Frank' to them. Spending precious time at Johns Pond, fishing, boating, camping, wandering in the woods or just hanging out, evidenced a love and connection that cannot be severed.
We will keep him forever in our hearts with a smile and gratitude for having known him.
Visiting hours will be Thursday December 7, 2023 from 4-8 at the Roberts Mitchell Caruso Funeral Home, 15 Miller Street, Medfield. There will be a celebration of Franks life held in the spring of 2024.
In lieu of flowers please make donations in Franks name to the American Cancer Society.

The first time I met Frank was at Matt & Cara Eaton´s house. We enjoyed seeing both he and Terry at every event thereafter! He was a great uncle to Cara, her sisters and their kids. Everyone loved Frank. Later he also loved spending quality time with his grandsons Dean and Troy. He will be missed!
