Frankie Mae Lewis Skelton, 86, passed away on Friday, October 17, 2025, at her daughter’s home in Corinth. She was born June 5, 1939, in Detroit, AL to Lonnie and Lorene Mills Lewis. She was the widow on Calvin Doyle Skelton to whom she was married 66 years. Prior to her retirement at age 62, she worked as a sewing machine operator in the garment and furniture industry. An excellent cook, she loved being with her family and she enjoyed fishing. A child of God, she loved attending church at Living Waters Community Church.
A visitation and memorial gathering will be on Sunday afternoon from 4 until 6 p.m. Tisdale-Lann Memorial Funeral Home in Nettleton.
She is survived by her daughters, Debbie Skelton Brasel (John), Baldwyn, Brenda Skelton Denton (David), Pontotoc, and Patricia Skelton Fugitt (Kenny), Corinth; her sons, Jimmy Skelton (Tina), Myrtle and Larry Skelton (Terrie); grandchildren, Christopher Kennedy (Brittany), Angela Kennedy Wood (Shane), Andrew Denton (Jenn), Matt Denton (Kayla), Jonathon Skelton (Kayela), Ashley Rawson (Scottie), Amanda McCormick (Zachary), Lacey Keck (Jacob), Lacy Russell, Shea Goodwin, Russ Brasel (Lacy), Megan Gant (Wesley), Blake Priest, and Kevin Fugitt; 49 great grandchildren; 9 great great grandchildren; special honorary hospice nurse and care giver, Betty (Boo) Sutton.
Preceded her in death are her parents; her husband, Calvin Skelton; sons, Terry Wayne Skelton and Calvin Doyle Skelton, Jr., granddaughter, Gwen; grandson, Brandon Patterson; brothers and sisters.
