Franklin Alexander Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Powell Funeral Home & Cremation Services - Bald Knob on Dec. 9, 2025.
Keith Alexander, 72 of Bradford, went to be with his Lord and Saviour on December 8, 2025. He was born April 10, 1953 to Ray and Gladys (Guthrie) Alexander.

He loved his Lord and he loved his family, He was a big NFL and MBL fan. He cheered on his favorite NFL team the Green Bay Packers and his favorite MBL team the New York Yankees.

He served in the Army National Guard at the Newport Armory for 20 years. He was ranked SSG E-6. He also served as their chaplain for many years.

He married his high school sweetheart on September 16, 1971. At The age of 19 he surrendered to the ministry. He pastored at Denmark Baptist Church, Southside Baptist Church, Landmark Baptist Church and Grace Baptist Church in Searcy. With the help of his wife together they ministered to many people over 50 years. He stood strong on the King James Version of the Bible and he preached it bodly and with love. One of his favorite Bible verses was Acts 20:24--But none of these things move me, neither count I my life dear unto myself, so that I might finish my course with joy, and the ministry, which I have received of the Lord Jesus, to testify the gospel of the grace of God.

Upon his retirement from pastoring Grace Baptist these are some of the words he spoke to the congregation "Our loving, wonderworking, heavenly Father we thank You and praise You for the amazing, awe-inspiring work you have done for us and in us, and we know you will lead us going forward and then one day safely home. Then sings my soul, my Savior God to thee how great thou art! May God greatly bless you all. And so now with all my love I say: Finally, breathren, Farewell." In his final farewell this past Monday he stepped into the presence of his Lord.

Keith is survived by his wife of 54 years, Wilma; one daughter, Michelle Joyner (Dustin); one son, Cody Ray Alexander (Jennifer); a grandson, Colton Joyner (Sydney); two great grandchildren, Cole and Ella Kate Joyner. His best friend and brother-in-law, Rickie Van Winkle; sister-in-law, Linda Van Winkle; two very special nieces, Misty Van Winkle and Carla Mansfield; and other relatives and many friends.

He was welcomed into heaven by his parents, Ray and Gladys Alexander; sisters, Betty Jo Hickman and Janice Johnston.

A visitation will be held at Powell Funeral Home of Bald Knob-Judsonia on Thursday, December 11, 2025 from 6:00pm-8:00pm. A graveside service will be conducted on Friday, December 12, 2025 beginning at 10:00am at Bethlehem Cemetery (Denmark), Hwy 167N, Bradford, Arkansas.
