Franklin “Richard” Miller, Jr., 82, stepped into the loving arms of his Savior on February 25, 2025. Born on November 15, 1942, to Frank Sr. and Marie West Miller, Richard lived a life rich in faith, love, and dedication to his family and community.
He was welcomed into heaven by his parents, his dear sister Betty Jean Allison, his beloved son-in-law Clay Finley, and his precious great-grandson Ryder Moore.
Left to cherish his memory is his devoted wife of 62 years, Lynda Douglas Miller, whose love and partnership were the foundation of his life. His legacy continues through his three children: Tracey Finley of Searcy, Kristi Miller of Judsonia, and Brent Miller (Karen) of Judsonia. He was a proud grandfather to Kendra Wood (Donald), Jared Miller, and Carter Miller, and a loving great-grandfather to Jager York, Brantley Wood, and Maggie Miller. Richard is also survived by his sister Mary Francis Lowery, his brother Wayne Miller (Sue), and a host of nieces, nephews, and dear friends who were blessed to know him.
A man of deep faith, Richard was saved and baptized in July 1976, marking the beginning of his lifelong devotion to Christ. For nearly 50 years, he was a faithful member of Salem Missionary Baptist Church, and spent many of those years serving as a deacon where his kindness, wisdom, and unwavering faith touched many lives.
Family and friends are invited to pay their respects at Cole’s Funeral Home in Kensett. Visitation will be Thursday from 5:00-7:00 and services will be Friday at 10:00. A graveside service will follow at Evergreen Cemetery in Judsonia.
