Franklin Simpson Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Marshall Funeral Home of Waynoka, LLC - Waynoka on Feb. 13, 2026.
Graveside memorial services for Franklin Simpson will be 2:00 p.m. Thursday, March 5, 2026, at Memorial Hill Cemetery north of Waynoka with Rev. Dr. Stephen Davis officiating. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Marshall Funeral Home of Waynoka.

Franklin Delano, son of F.C. and Edna L. (Ross) Simpson, was born January 30, 1934, on the family homestead and passed away peacefully February 11, 2026, at Alva, at the age of 92 years and 12 days. He was raised in the Waynoka area where he attended school and graduated from Waynoka High School.

He was a loving and Christian man who showed compassion to everyone he met. Franklin honorably served in the United States Army in South Korea. He enjoyed anything and everything about raising cattle, raising and breeding horses, fishing with his grandsons, and was a devout family man. He cared a lot about the members of his community and helped those in need without a second thought.

Besides his parents, F.C. and Edna, he was preceded in death by his brother, Wesley Simpson; his sisters, Ruth Valentine, Marie Lord, and Vera Parker; and the love of his life, Beth DeWese.

Franklin is survived by his only son, Mike Simpson of Waynoka; his grandsons, Matt Simpson and his wife, Bekah, of Alvin, Texas, and Garrett Simpson of Waynoka; many other relatives and friends.

In lieu of flowers, the family request that memorial contributions be made through the funeral home to the Price Poe Memorial Foundation.
