Funeral services for Eileen Parks will be 2:30 p.m. Sunday, January 11, 2026, at the First Baptist Church in Waynoka with Pastor Thure Tolson officiating. Burial will follow in the Waynoka Municipal Cemetery under the direction of Marshall Funeral Home of Waynoka.
Vivian Eileen, daughter of Ralph Leroy and Flora Ruth (Nauerth) Zook, was born October 25, 1933, near Waynoka in Woods County and passed away January 6, 2026, at Oklahoma City at the age of 92 years, 2 months, and 12 days.
Eileen was raised in the Waynoka area where she attended Springdale Country school and later graduated from Waynoka High School in 1951. In 1950, she was united in marriage to Gerald Dean Lockhart and together they had three children, Ortha, Jim, and Donna. Gerald passed away in 1957. On July 3, 1959, Eileen was united in marriage to James Earl Parks. They had a son, David, and raised their four children in Waynoka. They owned and operated the Hardware Store in Waynoka for many years.
She was a member of the First Baptist Church where she was active in many roles. She loved her family, friends, and her church. Eileen enjoyed quilting, sewing and crocheting. She and Jim moved to Oklahoma City 7 years ago to be near their daughter, Donna. Eileen enjoyed sewing pillowcases, over 1657 of them, for the Ryan's Case for Smiles that were donated to the OU Children's Hospital for sick children. She also crocheted stocking caps for many of her family members and also many foster children.
Besides her parents, Ralph and Flora, she was preceded in death by her husbands, Gerald Lockhart and James Parks; her brothers, Kenneth Zook and Jakie Zook; and her daughter Ortha Lockhart Hersh.
Eileen is survived by her children, Jim Lockhart and wife, Cathy, of Beaver, Donna Cooper and husband, Tom, of Edmond, and David Parks and wife, Evelyn, of Fairview; a son-in-law, Morrie Hersh of Fort Worth, Texas; a brother, Harley "Butch" Zook and wife, Wanda, of Waynoka; a sister, Janetta Miller and husband, Jack, of Guthrie.
Also surviving are ten grandchildren, Rachel Brown, Jared Hersh, Arista Lopp, Melanie Harrison, Kyle Cooper, Ty Cooper, Aaron Parks, Blake Sanderson, Luke Parks, and Sarah Mears; great grandchildren that she was thrilled with each one, Dayton Lopp, Wade Lopp, Wyatt Lopp, Richard Brown, Elizabeth Brown, Chelsea Scott, Avery Moyer, Tayler Moyer, Libby Harrison, Sydney Harrison, Evander Cooper, Vincent Cooper, Evelyn Cooper, Noah Mears, Violet Parks, Henry Sanderson, and Lynnley Sanderson; one great great granddaughter, Echo Lopp; many other relatives and friends. She loved all the family she gained by marriages of her children and grandchildren, they say she loves them most!
Memorial contributions may be made through the funeral home to the First Baptist Church Youth Fund.
