Franklin Sosebee, affectionately known as Frank, passed away peacefully on February 27, 2025, at the age of 76. Born on May 17, 1948, Frank was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend, whose life was marked by love, service, and dedication.
A proud veteran of the United States Army, Frank served as an Honor Guard at the funeral of President Dwight Eisenhower, a testament to his commitment to his country. He was formerly a dedicated member of Adairsville Church of God and Creekside Fellowship Church. At Creekside he served as a Deacon for many years and touched the lives of countless individuals with his faith and kindness.Frank was married for 55 wonderful years to his beloved wife, Linda Sosebee. Together, they nurtured a beautiful family, including their children, Melissa Abernathy and Brian Sosebee. Frank's legacy continues through his grandchildren, Kayla Keene, Hannah Grace Sosebee, Noah Sosebee, Ethan Abernathy, and Gracie Abernathy, as well as his great-grandchildren, Brooklyn, Braden, and Landon Taylor.
In addition to his family and service, Frank enjoyed a fulfilling career, retiring from both General Motors and the Bartow County School System. He had a passion for all sports, a knack for cracking jokes, and a deep love for taking care of his loved ones. His warm smile, quick wit, and generous spirit will be missed by all who knew him.Frank's life was a testament to the values he held dear: love of family, dedication to service, and a passion for life. He leaves behind a lasting impact on all who were fortunate enough to know him.
A memorial service to celebrate Frank's life will be held at Creekside Fellowship Church in Cartersville, Ga on March 6, 2025 between 4-6 with a reception to follow.He will be lovingly remembered and forever missed.
