Franklin Scott Webster, 61, affectionately known as “Scotty”, passed away on Monday, February 19, 2024, in Cheraw, SC. He was the son of Franklin Dwight Webster, Sr., and the late Joyce Burr Shaw. Scotty was a 1980 graduate of Cheraw High School. Throughout his career, Scotty held various roles including restaurant manager, warehouse and production supervisor, and managed his own successful landscaping and groundskeeping business. Scotty was a dedicated father to his three children. He married Sherry Leviner Webster on October 24, 2015. Scotty will forever be remembered as a loving husband and father.
Scotty enjoyed the simple life. Fishing trips and beach outings held a special place in his heart. His passion for collecting arrowheads and antique fishing lures showed his appreciation for history and craftsmanship. Scotty loved music, especially gospel, bluegrass, and southern rock. Scotty was an enthusiast of guitar playing and singing, he found joy in expressing himself through songs. In recent years, he channeled his creativity into designing art pieces using driftwood and fishing lures. Scotty will forever be remembered as a gentle soul with a sarcastic wit and loving heart.
Surviving is his wife, Sherry Webster of the home; a son, Ken Webster, of Cheraw, SC; daughters, Kacy England Teal (Daniel), of Chesterfield, SC and Sarah Webster (Michael Bowers), of Hartsville, SC; mother-in-law, Barbara Leviner; brothers, Kenneth Webster, of Cheraw, SC, Tommy English, of Myrtle Beach, SC; sisters, Hope Webster, of Cheraw, SC, Kim Rivers (Buck), of Chesterfield, SC, Maureen Williams, of Cheraw, SC, Angela Dent (Dr. Marshall Dent) of Elgin, SC, and Susie Blackburn of Lexington, SC; grandchildren, Carolina Webster, Rhiannon Webster, Maggie Teal, and Neason Teal; and several extended family members.
He was preceded in death by his mother listed above; his brother, “Lil” Frankie Webster Jr.; and his grandparents, Boyd and Arlevia Webster.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM, on Friday, February 23, 2024, at Kiser Funeral Home.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, February 24, 2024, at Kiser Funeral Home with burial to follow in the Hopewell Baptist Church cemetery in Chesterfield, SC.
Memorials may be made to Chesterfield County Animal Shelter, 436 Goodale Road, Chesterfield, SC 29709 and ASPCA, P.O. Box 96929, Washington, DC 20090-6929, or to any animal rescue of one’s choice.
Kiser Funeral Home has been entrusted to serve the Webster family during their time of grief.
