Franklin Clifford "Frank" Yates

Cumberland, MD- Franklin "Frank" Clifford Yates, 74, of Cumberland, MD passed away on Saturday, November 30, 2024 at Peace Healthcare Lions Center.
Born August 31, 1950 in Cumberland, MD, Mr. Yates was the son of the late Charles Franklin Yates and Ethel Louise (Rhodes) Yates.
Frank graduated from Frostburg State College and retired from the Kelly Springfield Tire and Rubber Company. He was a United States Army Veteran of Vietnam. Frank was a member of the V.V.A. Chapter #172, the Post #13 American Legion, the Fulton Myers Post #153 American Legion, and the Henry Hart Post #1411. He was also a member of the Metropolitan A.M.E. Church. He loved plants and flowers, listening to music and dancing.
Frank is survived by his daughter: Kristal Ostrander and husband Mike; a brother: John "Perky" Yates and wife Sherry, and family; his grandchildren: Geronimo Stephens and Cayenne Ostrander; his uncle: Edward Rhodes and wife Dorothy; his cousins: Jerry Washington and wife Phyllis; and Sue Rayford; as well as his good friends: Scherry Harris; and Mike and Dawn Marie Nines.
Friends will be received at Adams Family Funeral Home, P.A., 404 Decatur Street, Cumberland, MD (www.adamsfamilyfuneralhome.com) on Monday, December 9, 2024 from 10: 00 A.M. to 12:00 P.M. A funeral service will begin at 12:00 P.M. with Rev. Bernard Connelly officiating.
Interment will be in the Maryland Veterans' Cemetery at Rocky Gap. Military honors will be accorded at the cemetery by the V.V.A. Chapter #172 Color Guard.
