I want to extend my deepest sympathy to Frantz's family and friends for the loss of your precious loved one. I pray that God will comfort your hearts, strengthen, heal, and give you peace during this difficult time in your lives. I am deeply saddened that Frantz has passed away. I was blessed to know him from being his freshman-year academic advisor at Northeastern University. I enjoyed advising and interacting with him. He entered college with a mature mindset and clear goals. I remember Frantz as having a kind and caring spirit and a strong interest in learning and helping people. He was proud to be a Ujima Scholar. He showed his pride in numerous ways. He never wavered on meeting his responsibilities; he always strived for excellence; he was a great ambassador and representative for the Ujima Scholars Program during orientations, admissions open houses, and other program events. He tutored fellow peers in various subjects and paved the way for students to secure internships at Mass General Hospital. His contributions to the Ujima Scholars Program and the University were outstanding. He proved that with hard work and determination you can succeed. Frantz was highly intelligent, responsible, and extremely committed, disciplined, focused, and dedicated to achieving his dreams and aspirations of becoming a Nurse. He put forth consistent effort to be the best Scholar that he could be, which contributed to his outstanding academic success, graduation, and professional achievements. I am so proud of Frantz accomplishments and appreciative of all his contributions to the Ujima Scholars Program, the Nursing Program, and Northeastern. He was grateful for the opportunity to attend Northeastern University. I was so touched by Frantz expressed gratitude for the encouragement and support that he had received from Ujima staff and the John D. O'Bryant African-American Institute at the Institute's graduation ceremony. I will always cherish my fond memories of Frantz and his beautiful legacy of hard work, excellence, achievement, dedication, service, and helping people. May he rest in peace.
