Fred Fisher

Frederick "Fred" Finn of Sand Lake, NY, passed away peacefully on July 7 2025, with the love of his life, Sharon, by his side.
Born in Lockport NY on 11/28/46, Fred proudly served his country as a U.S. Marine during the Vietnam War. A man of quiet strength and deep loyalty, he carried the values of honor and perseverance with him throughout his life.
After his service, Fred settled in Sand Lake, where he built a life rooted in community and hard work. He spent many years as a salesman at Point Breeze Marina, where his easy "charm"and deep knowledge of boats earned him the trust of customers and coworkers alike.
Fred had a knack for engines and could often be found with a wrench in one hand and a cold beer in the other. He loved working on cars-especially the classics-and his driveway was never without a project in progress. Those who knew Fred will remember his love of simple pleasures: a smooth-running engine, a crisp drink on a summer day, and time spent with good friends.
He is survived by wife Sharon, his brother James (Diane), his sons Zech, Sean (Chelsea), and Dennis (Vicky). His beloved Grandchildren Christopher, Jayden, Hailey, Alaya, Ava, and great grandchild Emma who will miss his stories, his laughter, and his unwavering presence. He also leaves behind lifelong friends Ed and Marilyn Bartell. Fred is pre deceased by his son Fred Finn, daughter Vanessa, Granddaughter Allie, parents Harold and Doris Finn and life long friend Bob Bartell who were just one dog tag number apart in the Marines.
A service will be held for family and close friends August 11 at 11 am at Gerald B H Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Fred's memory to The Wounded Warrior Project.
