Fred McCrary, age 85, of Yantis, Texas passed away at Rock Creek Nursing & Rehabilitation in Sulphur Springs, Texas on Friday, February 21, 2025.
Fred Robert McCrary was born in Atlanta, Georgia on February 5, 1940 to Fred Thomas and Thelma (Edgar) McCrary. He married Beverly Wynne in Atlanta, Georgia on October 15, 1959. Fred was an Architect for schools and churches. He loved nature, photography, drawing, and enjoyed spending time with his family. Fred never met a stranger and became lifelong friends with many people he crossed paths with over the years. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Marietta, Georgia.
Fred is survived by his daughters, Jean Kay Kendal (Edward) of Yantis, Texas and Debbie Whitlock (Mark) of Woodstock, Georgia; son, Robert McCrary (Kim) of Gainesville, Georgia; nine grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Fred Thomas and Thelma McCrary and his wife, Beverly McCrary.
