Fred Edward Peckler

Frederick (Fred) Edward Peckler, age 85, was welcomed to eternal glory on February 14, 2026. Born on May 8, 1940, to Frederick Peckler and Juanita Walton, Fred poured his heart into everything he did. He was a dedicated football player in high school and went on to letter before he graduated. Later on, he would open his own automotive shop and happily work with people as both a mechanic and maintenance mechanic. In 1972 Fred married the love of his life, Artie Watson, and together they lived in true partnership. As one, they supported each other hand-in-hand through moves, raising children, and the ups and downs of life. Fred also had several hobbies, including being both a fisherman and a fisher of men. Sharing the love of Jesus was his greatest joy and he did so whenever the opportunity arose. The happiness that Fred radiated was evident to all who knew him. It was rare that he ever met a stranger, and common that he always gained a friend.

Fred is survived by his loving wife Artie Peckler; his children Nelva Peckler, Robert (Janet McGarrah) Peckler, Clifford (Melissa) Peckler, Tracy (Tonya) Peckler, Richard (Christie Hoover) Peckler, Salina (James) Cahill, Kim (Melissa Haskamp) Peckler; his youngest brother Ted Peckler; thirteen grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; and several wonderful friends.

Fred is preceded in death by his parents Frederick Peckler & Juanita Walton; his siblings Maryellen Peckler & James Haskell; and his daughter Liah Riddle.

A memorial service will take place on Saturday, February 28, 2026, at 2pm at Faith Community Church in Lynden, WA. Followed by a reception immediately after the service.
