Fred Steiner Sr.May 18, 1961 – April 4, 2025It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Fred Steiner Sr., who departed this lifeon April 4, 2025, at the age of 64 in St. Thomas, Pennsylvania.Born on May 18, 1961, in Johnstown Pennsylvania, Fred was the son of the late Charles andLenore (Norton) Steiner. Fred will be remembered for his passion for life, his quick wit, hishumor, and his desire to serve others! Fred was a US Army veteran. He loved music and spentyears traveling with his band, playing guitar, going to concerts, and was a friend and fan of 101.5Bob Rocks in Greencastle Pa. Fred enjoyed fishing, riding motorcycle, watching old movies,chasing 'ghosts' in Gettysburg, and giving unique gifts to his friends. Later in life, he becamethe "mayor" of Sheetz on the west end of Chambersburg, a regular attendee of OverflowCommunity Church, and the bacon chef @ Overflow's monthly community breakfast.Fred is survived by his longtime partner Patty Cool, son Fred Steiner Jr., brother Kenney, andsister Rebecca. Fred was preceded in death by his former wife Dianne Steiner, parents Charlesand Lenore Steiner, infant brother Timmy, and brother Steve Steiner.A Celebration of Life will be held on April 27, 2025, at 3:00 pm at Overflow CommunityChurch (642 LWW Chambersburg Pa. 17201). All who knew and loved Fred are welcome toattend.In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Overflow Community Church @https://overflowcc.churchcenter.com/giving/to/fred-steiner-memorial-fund - donations will beshared by the Cumberland Valley Animal Shelter and Overflow Community Church - bothcauses dear to Fred's heartLyrics from Fred's favorite song: Here I am, on the road again.
