Mr. Henry Fred Walker, 84, of Carrollton, Georgia, passed away on Friday, November 8, 2024. He was born on March 27, 1940, in Carrollton to the late Henry Lee Walker and Mabel Janelle Copeland Walker.
Mr. Walker was a respected businessman and community member, known for his strong work ethic and dedication to his family and faith. He co-founded Walker Cadillac with his brother, Joe Whit Walker, and was proud of the business they built together. A man of many interests, Fred was an avid pilot who enjoyed flying his own plane. In the last two decades, he turned his passion toward farming and cattle, dedicating much of his time and energy to the land and livestock he loved.
Mr. Walker was also deeply committed to his community, volunteering with Open Hands Christian Ministries and serving faithfully at First Baptist Church of Carrollton, where he was an usher and a valued member of the Generations Sunday School class.
He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Tracy and Phillip Wiggins; his sons and daughters-in-law, Clay and Lisa Walker and Clint and Amanda Walker; his beloved grandchildren, Anna Kate and Tyler King, Saralyn Wiggins, Thomas Wiggins, Josey Walker, Elijah Walker, and Lawson Walker. He was preceded in death by his wife, Sarah Frances Bailey Walker; his parents; and his brother, Joe Whit Walker.
The family will receive friends on Monday, November 11, 2024, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Almon Funeral Home.
A funeral service will be held Monday, November 11, 2024 at First Baptist Church at 2:00 p.m., with Dr. David Hughes officiating.
Interment will follow in Carroll Memory Gardens.
