Obituary of Fred Samuel Warren
Fred S. Warren, 93, of Columbia, South Carolina, passed away January 25, 2023. He was born on September 29, 1929 in Asheville, North Carolina, to the late Fred and Ella Warren.
He retired after 35 years from Biltmore Dairy Farms. Then, he worked another 10 years at Coble Dairy.
While he retired, he became an avid golfer. Being with his golf buddies was a highlight of his week. At 91, he made his third hole-in-one.
Fred (Bud) is survived by his daughter, Marcia McIntosh and her husband Ed McIntosh of Columbia, SC; son, Russ Warren of Columbia, SC; five grandchildren, Michael McIntosh of Kannapolis, NC, Melissa Varner and her husband Jason Varner of Charleston, SC, Melanie DuBose and her husband James DuBose of Columbia, SC, Edward McIntosh and his wife Robin of Gastonia, NC; and four great-grandchildren, Hayley Robillard of Columbia, SC, Abigail Robillard of Columbia, SC, Lindsay Tillou of Columbia and Ryan Simpson of Gastonia, NC.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 70 years, Doris M. Warren; two brothers, Eulis and Alfred (Pete); and 8 sisters, Lou Emma, Pearl, Addie, Christine, Inez, Nary, Juanita and Altha Mae.
There will be a private family burial. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society (SC Chapter). The family thanks Heart of Hospice for your care and support.

Mr.Warren always stopped if he saw me in the yard working..he'd tell me I worked too hard and I could have a day off...I'm going to miss him..he was always a gentleman... and I thought of him as my friend..swift journey Mr.Warren...
