Fred C. Winkle Jr., age 69, passed away on March 22, 2025, at his home in Knoxville, Tennessee.
Fred was born on September 6, 1955, in Knoxville, TN, to Fred Sr. and Dorothy Jean Winkle. He attended Bearden High School in Knox County.
After graduating high school, Fred started his career as a pipe welder. He found his professional home with Plumbers & Steamfitters Local 102, where he honed his craft. Fred was a dedicated outdoorsman whose heart thrived in the embrace of nature. He enjoyed spending time hunting in the woods and fishing.
He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Patsy Winkle, parents, Fred Sr. and Dorothy Jean Winkle.
He is survived by his sons; Todd Fine and Justin (his wife, Angie) Winkle; sister, Judy Burris (her husband, Chris); brother, Jody Winkle (his wife, Jennifer); grandchildren, Trentin, Charisma, and Hannah; great-grandchildren, Riverleigh and Navy.
The family would like to say a special thank you to Devin and Connie for all their help before Fred's passing.
The burial will take place at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, March 26, 2025, at Edgewood Cemetery in Knoxville, Tennessee. To send flowers to the family or plant a tree in memory of Fred, please visit our floral store.
