Martha Tate Reddick, a cherished daughter, mother, grandmother, and sister, was born on May 27, 1960, in Knoxville, Tennessee. Surrounded by family, she entered eternal rest on June 1, 2025. Martha's vibrant spirit and generous heart touched the lives of many, and her legacy will continue to shine brightly.
Preceding her in death were her beloved parents, James Reddick and Ruby Reddick. She is lovingly survived by her devoted son, Tate Reddick; her cherished grandson, Tyson Reddick; and her significant other, Greg Smith. Martha was a proud sister to Karen Metzguer (Tom), Jim Reddick (Julie), Teri Reddick (Carlton Pendley), John Reddick (Kathie), Ginger Reddick, Hal Reddick (Janene), Harriet Reddick, Tom Reddick, Tricia Robinson (Bruce), Bill Reddick (Millie), and Mary Carol Reddick (Gene Rutkauskas). She also leaves behind many loving nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who will miss her dearly.
Martha was a proud graduate of Bearden High School, class of '78, and attended Pellissippi State, earning several professional certifications in back office operations and customer service. She worked in retail customer service and restaurant management, always bringing warmth and positivity into her work.
In her leisure time, Martha found joy in the simple pleasures of life. She adored spending afternoons at the beach and piecing together puzzles. Martha enjoyed spending time with her family, coloring and playing board games with grandson Tyson and watching movie marathons with son Tate and significant other Greg. She enjoyed listening to all genres of music and loved karaoke. Her generous spirit was reflected in her close relationships with family and friends, as she was always ready to lend a helping hand or share a listening ear.
In a final and profound act of love and giving, Martha chose to donate her organs to the Tennessee Organ Donation Society, ensuring that her legacy of caring would continue to benefit others for years to come.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, July 26th from 1:00-3:00pm at Rose Funeral & Cremation – Mann with a celebration of life to follow.
