Freda Evans Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Holman-Howe Funeral Homes Lebanon on Jan. 9, 2026.
Freda Pauline Evans was born to Fred Kaffenberger and Esther Shannon Kaffenberger on September 18, 1941 in Lebanon, Missouri. She passed away in her home Thursday, January 8, 2026 at the age of eighty-four years, three months and twenty-one days.

She was born and raised in Lebanon and graduated from Lebanon High School. On November 6, 1969, she was married to the love of her life, Warren Evans. Together they shared over fifty-six years of love and laughter while raising their two wonderful daughters.

In addition to her parents, Freda is preceded in death by her siblings, Kathryn Sirris, Fred Kaffenberger, Mary Reed and L.J. Kaffenberger.

Freda is survived by her loving husband, Warren; her daughters, Kathy Blecher and her husband Jeff and Victoria Evans; her grandchildren, Lindsey Jasper and her husband Tim, Brandon Blecher and his wife Taylor, Braydon Blecher, Sebastian Evans and his wife Amber and Cassandra Touchstone and her husband Garrett; six great-grandchildren, Tenley Jasper, Chais Jasper, Rosalyn Blecher, Rebel Blecher, River Blecher and Georgina Evans; and other family members and dear friends.

Freda lived in Michigan for a time before returning to Lebanon. She was employed at the Stave Mill and then worked at H.D. Lee for over thirty years where she made many friends. Following retirement, she volunteered at Stoutland High School and at her church, St. Francis deSales Catholic Church.

Freda was raised in the Catholic faith and loved God and her church so very much. She was very active in her church and was involved in nearly every event that went on at the church. She loved her church family and they will miss her so much.

She enjoyed feeding the birds, camping, gardening and traveling. She loved her family very much and was thrilled when she became a grandmother and great-grandmother. Her grandchildren gave her so much joy and she treasured every second she had with them.

Freda loved making meals for her family; she went above and beyond for every holiday celebration. These were her favorite times, surrounded by family. She was a beautiful mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend to many. She was loved by all who knew her, and there will be a great void in their hearts.

Her warmth, kindness, and unwavering generosity leave an indelible mark on the lives of all who knew her. Her absence will be deeply felt by her family, friends, and the many people she touched throughout her life.

A memorial mass will be held Saturday, January 17, 2026 at 10 a.m. at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church.

Burial will be in Calvary (Catholic) Cemetery.

A memorial to Newborns in Need has been established and donations may be left at the funeral home.
