Freda Lynn Ward

A graveside service for Freda Lynn Ward, 72, of Anniston, Alabama, will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Tuesday, March 3, 2026 at Forestlawn Gardens. The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at K.L. Brown Memory Chapel in Golden Springs.

Freda passed away peacefully on Sunday morning, March 1, 2026, at her residence.

She is survived by her devoted husband, William "Bill" Ward; her children, Jason Scott Ward (Jennifer), Patrick Ward (Mindy), and Landon Tyler Ward (Rachel); her brother, Terry Turner (Melanie); eight grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Freda was preceded in death by her sister, Sandra Faulkner (Wayne), and her parents, Fred and Virginia Turner.

Freda was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend. She attended DeArmanville Elementary School and was a proud member of the Oxford High School Class of 1971. Freda devoted her life to her family, who were the center of her world. She cherished every moment spent with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Her warmth, kindness, and steady presence will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
