Freddie Ann Shaw

Freddie Ann Shaw, age 88, a lifelong resident of Iva, SC, passed away on Tuesday, November 4, 2025, at AnMed Medical Center.

Born September 15, 1937, in Iva, SC, she was the daughter of the late Fred Lee Shaw and Kathleen Teasley Shaw. She was also preceded in death by her two brothers, Willie Shaw and Ed Shaw.

Freddie Ann was known for her love for being at home. She could often be found sitting on her front porch, surrounded by her pets, enjoying the sights and sounds of life in her hometown. She loved driving around Iva, soaking in the local happenings - and she had a special fondness for the serenity of Iva City Cemetery, respectfully attending many services from a distance in the solitude of her car. She was involved with the Iva Community Improvement Association, where she volunteered her time, and she was a dedicated member and the Iva Museum and First Baptist Church of Iva, contributing to her community in every way she could.

She is survived by her sister-in-law, Delma Shaw; nephews, Larry Shaw (Theresa) and Gary Shaw (Lindy); 3 great nephews, 3 great-great nephews, and 1 great-great niece.

The family would like to thank all of Freddie Ann's neighbors and the staff of Iva Post Acute for the love and care provided.

A graveside service will be held on Friday, November 7, 2025, at 2:00 pm at Iva City Cemetery with Rev. Jerry Gray and Pastor Mike McMinn officiating. The family will speak with guests immediately following the service.
