Freddie Wayman Woolbright

Freddie Wayman Woolbright, age 92, of Gordo, AL died July 26, 2025 at his residence. Funeral services will be 11:00 am Friday, August 1, 2025 at Double Branch Baptist Church with Rev. John Williams and Rev. Mike Hall officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery with Skelton Funeral Home of Reform directing. Visitation will be one hour prior and immediately following the service a the church.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, of 69 years, Kannie Mae Woolbright; two sons, Jerry Woolbright and Darrell Glenn Woolbright and two brothers, Zane Woolbright and Elton Woolbright.
Survivors include his daughter-in-law, Cira Lopez Woolbright of Gordo; brother-in-law, Mike Hall (Davene) of Reform; sister-in-law, Peggy Burton (Barry) of Birmingham and five nieces, Debbie Mouchette, Renee Hofer, Phoebe Culp, Kim Tayloe and Kelly Johnson.
Wayman was born June 19, 1933 in Pickens County, Alabama to the late Carlos Elton Woolbright and Mattie Irene Hodge Woolbright. He was a member of Double Branch Baptist Church, a retired accountant for Westinghouse with 27 years of service, a veteran of the United States Air Force with four years of service and a veteran of the United States Coast Guard with 20 years of service.
