Frederick C. Boyd, Sr.
entered eternal rest on Monday, December 23, 2024 at his residence. He was the son of the late Artis Lee Boyd and the late Lethia Elma Banks and the husband of the late Shirley Mae Shannon Boyd. He was also predeceased by his son, Frederick C. Boyd, Jr,; one brother Calvin Boyd, Sr. (Alverta) and one sister, Mary Morris (Wayne).
Celebration of Life Service will be Saturday, January 4, 2025, 12 noon at St. Stephen Missionary Baptist Church, Elizabeth City, North Carolina with the Rev. Dr. Ricky L. Banks, Pastor/Eulogist. Interment will be in the Dove's Landing Cemetery, Elizabeth City, North Carolina. A visitation/viewing will be Friday, January 3, 2025, from 5:00-7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
Frederick (Fred's) memories will be cherished and kept alive by his two daughters, Valerie Shannon Boyd and Theresa Vera Boyd; six brothers, Artis Boyd III (Phyllis), Johnny Boyd (Deborah), William Boyd (Mary), Ricky Boyd (Margaret), Lee Boyd (Van) and Tony Boyd (Ester); five sisters, Jacqueline Ingram, Lethia Baum (West), Arlean Yates (Fred), Denise Boyd and Shawn Boyd; five grandchildren, Valine Boyd, Frederick C. Boyd, III, Marvin Boyd, Shantel Boyd and Alexandria Boyd; seven great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
