Fred was born February 18, 1936, in Christopher, IL, the son of the late Jules Cresson and Margaret "Peggy" (Dockerty) Dickinson. He married Margaret Feld, who preceded him in death. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Ralph Cresson.
He is survived by his daughters, Vicki (the late Stephen) Schaefer, Janet (the late Harold) Kehl; step-children Julie (Dennis) Lapka, Dave Feld and Mark Feld; grandchildren Sarah Kehl, Brian Kehl, Stephanie (Nick) Berry, and Scott (Heather) Schaefer; his brother, Jimmy Dickinson; his sister in law, Gerri Farmer; great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at 11 am Friday, December 30, 2022 at Corpus Christi Catholic Church in Shiloh with luncheon to follow. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Society of St. Vincent DePaul. Burial and graveside service to follow at a later date.
