Frederick Detering Obituary
Frederick was born on August 9, 1941. He was an exceptional carpenter and mechanic. He worked for and retired from Heart & Truss Engineering. As often as he could, Fred was helping his neighbors. He will always be remembered for his unconditional love for his children.
Fred's favorite outdoor activities were hunting and fishing, with ice fishing as a standout. He always knew where the fish were biting on Thornapple Lake. His favorite thing to hunt was, "anything you could hunt!"
Frederick is survived by his daughter, Patricia (Randy) Chipman, and son, Frederick C. (Michelle) Detering, Jr.
He is predeceased by his best friend, his beloved dog, Buck. The family is in the care of Pray Funeral Home, Charlotte.
