Donna Lawrence Obituary
Donna was born on September 30, 1948, in Minford, Ohio, to Floyd and Catherine (Tope) Crabtree. She was raised in Ohio and graduated from high school in 1967. She later moved to Michigan, where she attended Andrews College and, in 1976, married the love of her life, Lyle Lawrence.
Committed to caring for others, Donna returned to school at Lansing Community College to pursue her calling in nursing. After earning her degree and becoming a registered nurse, she dedicated many years of faithful service to patients and families at Eaton Rapids Medical Center.
Donna was a longtime and devoted member of the Seventh-day Adventist Church in Charlotte, where she formed many cherished friendships and especially enjoyed singing during worship services. She found joy in life's simple pleasures-shopping with her daughter, watching QVC, crocheting, and spending time with those she loved most.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her beloved husband, Lyle Lawrence; her daughter, Alyce Blackmer; and her siblings, Arthur Crabtree, Virginia Crabtree, James Crabtree, Jeannie Crabtree, and Robert Crabtree.
Donna is lovingly remembered by her children, William (Kayla) Lawrence, Robert (Tamara) Lawrence, and Kathleen Lawrence; her son-in-law, Scott (Deb) Blackmer; her grandchildren, Russell, Beth, Ben, Taylor, Dennis, Alan, Alyssa, Alyna, Jody, Justin, and Tiffany; her brother, Franklin Crabtree; her sisters, Myrtle Mullens and Ruby Durham; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, February 17, 2026, at Skinner Funeral Home in Eaton Rapids. The family will receive friends beginning at 10:00 a.m., with a meal to follow the burial.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Seventh-day Adventist Church in Charlotte or the Parkinson's Foundation in memory of Donna. Condolences and memories may be shared online at www.SkinnerFuneralHomes.com
